Well here are a few basics about them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WzG6pPQWhmo/T6hZgqxSy7I/AAAAAAAAACY/hmZXo7VGi-0/s1600/Alcohol+stoves.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WzG6pPQWhmo/T6hZgqxSy7I/AAAAAAAAACY/hmZXo7VGi-0/s1600/Alcohol+stoves.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
And that is the simplest design. Just pour some high percentage alcohol into an open container, and set it ablaze.<br />
<br />
Now for a little advanced ideas.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1Afa-qOTBBs/T6hc7lknHnI/AAAAAAAAACk/4a8j7GTpCug/s1600/Alcohol+stoves+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1Afa-qOTBBs/T6hc7lknHnI/AAAAAAAAACk/4a8j7GTpCug/s1600/Alcohol+stoves+2.jpg" /></a></div>
That's right folk. Add some thermal feedback to the alcohol, and it vaporizes it and creates even more flame and heat. The hard part is designing a stove that do this efficiently.<br />
